What Are You Sitting On? — Skill-to-Income Opportunity Map

What Are You Sitting On?

Uncover the knowledge, experience and skills you've spent decades building—and explore what they could become.

Your job title is only the container. Let's find the valuable skills underneath it.

My Skill-to-Income Opportunity MapStep 1
01 • Start with evidence, not guesses

What have you actually done?

Don't try to invent a business yet. Start with the rooms you've already been in. Select the work that sounds most like your experience.

Anything else we should know?
Pick whichever comes closest, or add your own above — it makes everything downstream more accurate. Tap next again to continue anyway.
02 • Translate the job

Your title isn't the whole story.

Which of these things have people trusted you to do? Select everything that feels true.

What did we miss?
Notice what's happening: we're separating what you know how to DO from the title somebody once put on your badge.
Try selecting at least one or two — this list is where your "mirror" comes from. Tap next again to continue anyway.
03 • Your life counts too

What did life teach you?

Some of your most useful knowledge may never have appeared on a résumé. Select areas where you've learned enough that other people ask your opinion or watch how you do it.

People tend to come to me when they need help with…
A selection or two here (or a line in the box) makes your mirror much more specific. Tap the button again to continue anyway.
04 • The mirror

Here's what I'm hearing.

These aren't business ideas yet. They're clues about the kinds of value you already know how to create.

Your transferable strengths may include:

Sondra's truth check: Being good at something does not automatically make it a business. But it gives us something real to investigate instead of starting from “I don't know what I could possibly do.”
Which ONE strength are you most curious about exploring?
05 • Translate skill into value

What could this become?

There are two simple ways knowledge becomes an offer: create something useful or do something useful for someone.

Example: “I know how to organize complicated information” could become a step-by-step guide or a service where you help someone organize their process.
06 • The money test

Before you make anything, answer these three questions.

We're not declaring this a business because it sounds cute. We're looking for a real person and a real problem.

1. WHO could this help?
2. WHAT problem are they trying to solve?
3. WHAT could you help them do?
Truth check: This doesn't prove people will buy. It tells us whether you have a clear idea worth testing. Before investing heavily, talk to real people who fit the audience and listen for how they describe the problem.
07 • Build version one

You're not done yet. Let's shape the idea.

You've identified a skill, a person and a problem. Now we're going to turn that thinking into the actual starter document you'll bring to Launch Your Legacy.

My transferable strength
Who I may be able to help
The problem I understand
What I could help them do
A format I could explore
Your document • Ready to save

You came with an idea. You're leaving with a plan.

Save this document. This is the starting document I want you to bring with you if you join me inside Launch Your Legacy.

You shaped the offer. Here's what comes next.

Your idea now has shape. Next, it needs a way to get to market.

You identified what you know, who you can help, the problem you understand and what you could offer. Launch Your Legacy picks up from here.

Sondra's truth check: A clear offer is a strong start—not proof that people will buy. As you build, listen to real people in your audience and use their feedback to strengthen version one. Don't wait for perfect before you move.
